The 6,000-square-meter facility will serve as the central logistics hub for Schaeffler’s Bearings & Industrial Solutions division to support customers in Southeast Asia.

Chonburi, Thailand | 2 December, 2025 | Schaeffler, the motion technology company, today announced the inauguration of its Bearings & Industrial Solutions (B&IS) Southeast Asia logistic Hub in Thailand, marking a significant milestone for the company’s regional logistics strategy. The ceremony in Si Racha District, Chonburi, was attended by Mr. Alfred Kit Chong Lee, President, Bearings & Industrial Solutions Asia Pacific, alongside key business partners from Thailand and other stakeholders across the Southeast Asia region.

Strategically located just 19 kilometers from Schaeffler’s Chonburi plant, the 6,000-square-meter facility will serve as the central logistics hub for Schaeffler’s Bearings & Industrial Solutions division in Southeast Asia. Staffed by Schaeffler employees in core functions, the hub will assume primary responsibility for planning and controlling processes across Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Quality functions for the Bearings & Industrial Solution division. The hub is designed to optimize logistics flows and increase delivery capacity to better serve customers in fast-growing markets.

Mr. Alfred Kit Chong Lee, President, Bearings & Industrial Solutions Asia Pacific, said: “As we launch this new logistic hub in Thailand, we are reinforcing our commitment to service quality and operational excellence across Southeast Asia. Our logistics hub in Thailand will allow us to streamline the network, optimize transit times, and enhance responsiveness for our customers throughout the region.”

As part of the new setup, Yusen Logistics Thailand will oversee day-to-day operational activities, including kitting, goods receiving, and shipping. This partnership supports Schaeffler’s ambition to scale efficiently while maintaining high service standards.

David Nevin, President, Bearings & Industrial Solutions Japan & Southeast Asia Pacific, said: “Thailand’s proximity to key growth markets enables faster delivery and improved responsiveness. The new hub also aligns with our focus on priority sectors and segments, ensuring we can better serve customers where demand and growth potential are strongest.”

The new Southeast Asia hub in Thailand is designed to enable:

  • Network optimization: Streamlined logistics, lead times, and improved operational efficiency across Southeast Asia.
  • Closer-to-market operations: Enhanced service levels for customers in key regional growth markets.
  • Focus on priority segments: Sharper alignment with sectors where demand is accelerating.
  • Growth and scalability: Additional capacity and infrastructure to support expanding warehouse needs in partnership with Yusen Logistics (Thailand).
  • Cross-divisional synergies: Stronger integration with Schaeffler’s Powertrain & Chassis (PTC) and Vehicle Lifetime Solutions (VLS) divisions for end-to-end efficiency gains.

Chatchawan Somjeen, Country Manager Thailand and President, Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Subregion Japan & Southeast Asia Pacific, said: "Centralizing our operations in Thailand will deepen collaboration across our business and unlock meaningful operational synergies, helping to enhance overall service quality for our customers across Southeast Asia.”

With this investment, Schaeffler underscores its long-term commitment to customers in Southeast Asia by building a resilient, scalable logistics platform that supports growth, service quality, and speed-to-market.
