Bangkok, Thailand | July 1, 2024 | The Automotive Aftermarket division of the motion technology company, Schaeffler Thailand has embarked on a new partnership by signing a brand ambassador agreement with the young racer, Rotor - Paichayont Thongchua. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Micah Shepard, President, Automotive Aftermarket Asia Pacific and Mr. Chatchawan Somjeen, Thailand Country Manager and President of Automotive Aftermarket Subregion Japan & Southeast Asia Pacific.
The 15-year-old youngster Rotor Thongchua is the first young Thai racer who participated and won in the South Korea motorsport series, Superrace Championship 2023. He has 8 years of racing experience and is set to compete in the Toyota Corolla Altis GR Sport One Make Race and 2024 Super Race GT 6000 class this year. From now on, Schaeffler branding will be featured on Rotor Thongchor’s racing overall, helmet and racing car. In addition, the cooperation includes joint campaigns on social media and appearances at Schaeffler events.
Schaeffler has been actively involved in the motorsports for many years and supports drivers and teams with technical know-how. Mr. Micah Shepard, President of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket Asia Pacific, explains the reasons behind the cooperation: “Rotor Thongchor and Schaeffler have started collaborating since last year. With his professional background and enthusiasm for racing and cars, we see Rotor as the perfect fit to represent Schaeffler in Thailand.”
